After saying goodbye to the lads on the Silver dawn we headed over to the Lough for our second time there.
Aidan was driving as it was my birthday and id had a few.
We stopped off at the chinese beside the lough so we wouldnt be lepping then on to meet Ross like arranged who was there with Bill Brazier and Adam Barrett.
Bivvy up and rods out we settled down for a bit of craic with the lads. Ross and Bill were already into fish and soon Aidan was in. At this stage I was feeling a bit ragged having left Dublin at 3am and Ross had packed up.and by midnight I was panned out in the tent.
All through the night I could hear Bills rods periodically going.
At five am I was into my first and only fish which hangover or not I wasnt missing. It turned out to be a small fish.
Soon it was Aidans turn again a fish which fought well above its weight despite being small. Many thanks again to the lads for looking after us we had really enjoyed it.
All too soon it was time to pack up and start making our way back to Dublin but already planning our next trip down to the magical Lough….
