Hounds

Being East Coast anglers, smoothies have always been firm favourites of ours.

There are quite a few East coast beaches where Smoothies are relatively common during the Summer months and which are a pleasure to fish in the fine weather if we get any.

They will readily take a crab bait whether frozen or fresh and king rag also works well.
Pulley rigs if its weedy, I go clipped down rigs if not.

Due to limited fishing time in 2013 we just gave our favorite mark one go.
Myself aidan and Joe gave it an evening session after work. The weather was overcast and windy. We got there and set up for about two hours before high tide. I was first in with an average sized fish which gave a good account of itself.

Next up was Aidan with a smaller fish not long after mine. Safely unhooked and released we stood around yapping about the rest of the years fishing and what we were hoping for.

Soon it was high tide with no more bites except a small one to Joe. We were just talking about how long more we’d give it before packing when Joe had one last fish, a much better one and all in time for hitting the road. Unfortunately that was our only session for them in 2013 which was a pity with the hot summer we had but with limited sessions we were just glad to be out.
