Wexford 07.06.14

Aidan, Joe and myself took a short trip down to wexford for an evening session. We had plans to fish a South facing beach but had been warned that it was now filling with thick weed thanks to the moderate Southerly wind.

We gave the mark about two hours, before we decided to move to somewhere a bit more sheltered on the East coast of Wexford as the weed was making it more  unfishable as the time went on. A quick dash back to the van and we were soon winding down the country lanes again. We got to the next spot which was much more sheltered and were soon baiting up traces once again.

While Joe was baiting up his second rod, he noticed the line on his first rod blowing in the wind…….slackliner! He was soon bringing in a bass of 5lb. As it’s the close season the fish was quickly returned. We fished on with just a few doggies for our efforts before all too soon it was time to pack up and head home again…
