Since I first interviewed Roger Bayzand for Ireland Fishing Diaries, we have kept in touch ever since and Roger has always been there with advice and words of encouragement. Most of you will know Roger from his days charter fishing aboard his boat Sundance from Lymington where he was one of the UK’s most highly sought after skippers. Roger packed it all up and moved to Australia where he has found a new love of painting, which he has once again seems to have mastered.
So recently while talking to Roger, I happened to mention I would love to get one of my own one day. It was a complete shock when he kindly offered to paint a fishing photograph for me and we both picked one that was very personal to me, my first bluefin tuna as it was just being released. You can even notice the reflection of the yellow hull of the Evie Rose on the silver underside of the fish. A special memory of a day fishing with the tuna King Adrian Molloy http://www.tuna.ie
